The founding company R & M Diesel Maintenance began in 1985 based on the trade and industry knowledge of the current directors, Brenton Matters and Brenton Roberts. By providing quality work with a customer focus and the ability to recognise opportunity, the company has grown to $17m p.a. with over 70 employees.
The need to value add to an imported engine brand to encourage sales, saw the development of the first prototypes of the generating set and pump range. A working relationship between Kleenheat Gas, Deutz and Central Diesel created the opportunity to research and develop the use of gas engines for power generation.
In 2005, the award as a preferred supplier to Santos was announced, being indicative of the standards achieved.
In 2008, Central Diesel opened a service branch in Roma, Queensland. This branch is centrally located to service the fast growing mining industry of this area. Central Diesel is planning further expansions into other key areas in the near future.
